United Floor Model Smart-1 Machines are the logical choice when maximum crosshead travel and load frame capacity are required. The SFM models offer a choice of seven standard load frame capacities ranging from 1,000 lbf (4.45 KN) to 135,000 lbf (600 KN).

Two words best describe
the benefits afforded by United's multi-station testing sytems: HIGH
PRODUCTIVITY. Test up to six samples at once for the cost of about two
stand-alone units.
Each test system is a computer-inclusive unit that is capable of testing up to six samples simultaneously. Data from each sample are recorded in real time by United's data acquisition, reduction and machine control system. The multi-station testing system is recommended for high-volume repetitive testing of plastics, lapshear, film, elastomers and thin metals. The 60-degree angled frame configuration allows easy sample loading. The system is available with pneumatic gripping systems, clamping extensometry devices, strain gage load cells and sample measuring devices. Capacity: up to 5,000 lbf ( 22 KN) per station.

The United Model LCH
Speedy Tester is a portable, table model, hydraulic
testing machine incorporating a highly accurate, built-in digital
information system for the display of test data. Designed to perform a
variety of tests, the versatile, easy-to-use Speedy Tester can be
fitted with various types of grips and fixtures to accommodate a wide
range of materials and applications.
This portable series of Speedy Tester offers three standard load frame capacities: 10,000 lbf (44.5KN), 20,000 lbf (89KN), and 30,000 lbf (133KN) with load rate ranging from 100 lbf/min (44KN/min) to 40,000 lbf/min (178KN/min). Each LCH system can reach a return speed of 4 in/min (102mm/min) with the piston travel distance of 4.5 inches (121mm).

United High Capacity
Hydraulic Floor Model (HFM) universal testing systems with computer
control are available
with capacities from 300 KN (67,500 Lbf) to 1,000 KN (225,000 Lbf) and
1,000 KN and 2,000 KN capacities, respectively.

United HFTA (Hydraulic
Floor Model, Top Actuator) universal testing systems are the newest
addition to the United line of testing machines. These very high
capacity systems were first offered by United beginning in December
2003. They are available in 1,000 KN and 2,000 KN capacities (225,000
Lbf and 450,000 Lbf).

The United Environmental Chamber is manufactured for use with United load frames. Standard features include:
- Electrical resistance heating.
- Choice of CO2 or liquid N2 cooling.
- Microprocessor-based temperature controller.

The Tensilkut
was designed for the specific purpose of preparing flat metal or non-metallic test
specimens. The compact size of the equipment permits it to be conveniently located in
the laboratory. Small table top units or larger floor mounted models are available to
accomodate any space and/or work volume requirements. The specimens are accurate to
within +.0005" when prepared on the Tensilkut machine with a Tensilbit and a standard
or special master template.
