ELAST is a Long Stroke Extensometer dedicated to value % elogation of rubber, high elogation plastics, foam and similar material it is specially indicated to tensile tests on table-top machines.
This device is self-standing and it is placed on the back of the testing machine. 
In case of a single-column machine, the extensometer can be mounted on left or right side of the frame. 

Every arm of ELAST extensometer is connected to a high-resolution encoder. these arms are free to move avoiding specimen drag effect; adjustable counterweights assure the minimum drag force. 
The measurement base is easily configurable using a computer assisted procedure that drives the user in the device setup.
